Hundreds of migrant workers attended a health and information fair in Leamington on Sunday, marking a return to the annual in-person event organizers have paused since the start of the pandemic. 

The inaugural Greenhouse Cup Tournament in Leamington is being hailed a success after three busy weekends of play.

The Migrant Worker Community Program is a non-profit organization. It is our mission to provide a positive balance to the lives of the migrant worker community by offering educational, social, cultural, recreational, and communication opportunities to help them better integrate into their new community.

Migrant workers toil on Southwestern Ontario farms all spring and summer – gruelling work that keeps food on our tables. But how about a little fun? The non-profit Migrant Worker Community Program organized a soccer . . .

One of its kind, this event was shown to be a perfect opportunity for migrant workers to mingle and familiarize themselves with the services available in the region and gain a greater understanding of the local organizations in the community.

For the first time in over two years, a group of volunteers were able to provide a free health clinic for area migrant workers to receive some of the care and checkups they need.

On Sunday, April 3 at the Roma Club in Leamington, Ontario, the free 2022 Health and Information Fair for Migrant Workers in the Windsor-Essex will take place.
