A Look Back at a Wonderful
Semester Together

Over the past six months, the Migrant Worker Community Program in the Leamington region has been a hub of action, connection, and community-building. Through events, outreach, and partnerships, we’ve created welcoming spaces where migrant workers feel valued and supported.

This edition shares highlights from cultural festivals, sports tournaments, health fairs, educational sessions, and volunteer initiatives, each reflecting the dedication of our team and the spirit of collaboration that drives us.

Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, ideas, and hearts. This newsletter celebrates what we can achieve together.

Welcome Center WOMAN'S DAY

At MWCP, we celebrated International Women’s Day by recognizing the contributions, leadership, and everyday strength of migrant women in our community.

The event created a space to share stories, empower one another, and highlight the importance of equality and respect.

We extend our sincere gratitude to WECHC, CMHA, the Mexican Consulate, and VDS for their valuable support during the health fair.

Their collaboration made it possible to offer an engaging event filled with music, food, raffles, and community-building activities. A special thanks to the Canadian Mental Health Association for their meaningful presentation on understanding loneliness and fostering connection among migrant farm workers.

Attendees enjoyed free food, participated in raffles, and accessed valuable information from participating organizations.

CMHA delivered a Substance Use Awareness presentation for migrant farm workers during the health fair.
