Niagara Falls Trip 2025
The Migrant Worker Community Program (MWCP) is excited to invite you on an unforgettable day trip to Niagara Falls on July 20 and August 17!
Come experience one of the most breathtaking natural wonders of the world with us. This full-day adventure includes transportation and a day filled with stunning views, great company, and memorable moments.
Tickets are now on sale for $80 CAD at the MWCP Office, located at 75 Erie St. South, Unit 102 in Leamington.
The trip departs at 5:00 AM and returns around 10:00–11:00 PM the same day.

Martin Varela Receives King Charles III Coronation Medal
Congratulations to Martin Varela for being awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of his outstanding service to the migrant worker community in Leamington and Essex County.
As Chair of the Migrant Worker Community Program (MWCP) and a long-time advocate, Martin has led efforts in healthcare, inclusion, and support for over 20,000 migrant workers.
This well-deserved honour celebrates his lasting impact and dedication to building a more inclusive community.
Health & Information Fair 2024
Thank you to everyone who attended the Health & Information Fair yesterday at Roma Club Leamington! The event was a tremendous success. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the participants and attendees for their involvement and support.
Filipino Basketball League 2024

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Spring Welcome event this past Sunday! It was a great success, with over 150 participants coming together. We loved sharing the music, food, and vibrant sense of community with you all.

Last Sunday, MWCP | Migrant Worker Community Program marked a special celebration at the Welcome Center! Gratitude to Ventanilla de Salud, Canadian Mental Health Association - Windsor, and the TeamWork Project for attending our event and giving informative resources and information to migrant workers. Also a heartfelt thank you to the migrant workers whose presence made the day memorable!

MWCP | Christmas Celebration 2023
The Christmas season is a time of joy and giving, and what better way to spread the holiday cheer than by celebrating with those who may be far from home. In many countries, migrant workers often find themselves far from their families during the holiday season, working hard to provide for their loved ones. That's why it's heartwarming to see the consulates of Mexico and Honduras come together to spread some Christmas cheer.
The celebration was full of laughter, music, and good food. They also received gifts making the holiday season that much brighter.
It was wonderful to see the consulates and the migrant workers come together to celebrate the holiday season. It's a reminder that no matter where you come from, the holiday spirit is universal, and it's important to spread that joy with those around us.
Leamington Christmas Parade 2023
The annual Leamington, Ontario Santa Claus parade was held last Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. MWCP | Migrant Worker Community Program proudly participated in this joyous event, featuring our captivating musical float that got "The Best Spirit" award.
Adorned with breathtaking Christmas arrangement balloons by C&C Balloons, our float came alive with the harmonious melodies of live Christmas carols, skillfully performed by the talented musical group, Sabor Latino. As our float traversed the route, our dedicated team joyously distributed candies to the delighted children, adding an extra dash of sweetness to the magical evening.
Filipino Salu-Salo 2023!!
Last Sunday June 25th, we celebrated the diversity of Filipino culture in one event! Together with the Filipino community, we witnessed the exceptional skills and talents of Filipinos through singing, also experiencing their authentic Filipino dishes, and were able to experience how fun games the Filipino community enjoyed and had so much fun.
Father's Day 2023
Father's Day is a special day set aside to honour the hardworking and selfless fathers who have been there for their families through thick and thin.
