Niagara Falls Trip 2025
The Migrant Worker Community Program (MWCP) is excited to invite you on an unforgettable day trip to Niagara Falls on July 20 and August 17!
Come experience one of the most breathtaking natural wonders of the world with us. This full-day adventure includes transportation and a day filled with stunning views, great company, and memorable moments.
Tickets are now on sale for $80 CAD at the MWCP Office, located at 75 Erie St. South, Unit 102 in Leamington.
The trip departs at 5:00 AM and returns around 10:00–11:00 PM the same day.

Martin Varela Receives King Charles III Coronation Medal
Congratulations to Martin Varela for being awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of his outstanding service to the migrant worker community in Leamington and Essex County.
As Chair of the Migrant Worker Community Program (MWCP) and a long-time advocate, Martin has led efforts in healthcare, inclusion, and support for over 20,000 migrant workers.
This well-deserved honour celebrates his lasting impact and dedication to building a more inclusive community.
Health & Information Fair 2024
Maraming Salamat sa lahat ng dumalo sa Health & Information Fair kahapon sa Roma Club Leamington! Ang kaganapan ay isang napakalaking tagumpay. Ipinaaabot namin ang aming taos-pusong pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga organisasyon at sa lahat ng mga dumalo sa kanilang suporta.
Filipino Basketball League 2024
Kami ay nagpapasalamat sa pagkakataong makadalo sa Filipino Basketball League 2024 noong Linggo. Isang karangalan na maging bahagi ng event na ito. Maraming salamat sa mga organizers and miyembro ng committee at good luck sa lahat ng teams! Gawin nating hindi malilimutan ang season na ito.
Spring Welcome Event 2024
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Spring Welcome event this past Sunday! It was a great success, with over 150 participants coming together. We loved sharing the music, food, and vibrant sense of community with you all.
Welcome Center 2024
Last Sunday, MWCP | Migrant Worker Community Program marked a special celebration at the Welcome Center! Gratitude to Ventanilla de Salud, Canadian Mental Health Association - Windsor, and the TeamWork Project for attending our event and giving informative resources and information to migrant workers. Also a heartfelt thank you to the migrant workers whose presence made the day memorable!

Highlights included a joyful Christmas celebration with the Mexican and Honduran consulates, participation in the Santa Claus Parade (winning “Best Spirit”), a vibrant Filipino cultural day, the Soccer Greenhouse Cup finale, and a special Father’s Day event. MWCP | Pagdiriwang ng Pasko 2023
Ang panahon ng Pasko ay isang oras ng kagalakan at pagbibigayan, at kung ano ang mas mahusay na paraan upang maikalat ang kasiyahan sa kapaskuhan kaysa sa pagdiriwang kasama ang mga maaaring malayo sa tahanan. Sa maraming bansa, ang mga migranteng manggagawa ay madalas na malayo sa kanilang mga pamilya sa panahon ng kapaskuhan, na nagsisikap na matustusan ang kanilang mga mahal sa buhay. Kaya naman nakakataba ng puso na makita ang mga konsulado ng Mexico at Honduras na nagsasama-sama para magpakalat ng kasiyahan sa Pasko.
The celebration was full of laughter, music, and good food. They also received gifts making the holiday season that much brighter.
Nakatutuwang makita ang mga konsulado at ang mga migranteng manggagawa na nagsasama-sama upang ipagdiwang ang kapaskuhan. Ito ay isang paalala na saan ka man nanggaling, ang diwa ng kapaskuhan ay pangkalahatan, at mahalagang ipalaganap ang kagalakang iyon sa mga nakapaligid sa atin.
Parada ng Pasko ng Leamington 2023
Ang taunang Leamington, Ontario Santa Claus parade ay ginanap noong nakaraang Sabado, Nobyembre 25, 2023, mula 6:00 PM hanggang 8:00 PM. MWCP | Ang Migrant Worker Community Program ay buong pagmamalaki na lumahok sa masayang kaganapang ito, na nagtatampok sa aming mapang-akit na musical float na nakakuha ng "The Best Spirit" award.
Pinalamutian ng mga nakamamanghang Christmas arrangement balloons ng C&C Balloons, ang aming float ay nabuhayan ng magkakasuwato na himig ng live na Christmas carols, na mahusay na itanghal ng mahuhusay na musical group, ang Sabor Latino. Habang binabagtas ng aming float ang ruta, ang aming dedikadong koponan ay masayang namahagi ng mga kendi sa mga natutuwang bata, na nagdaragdag ng dagdag na tamis sa mahiwagang gabi.
Filipino Salu-Salo 2023!!
Noong nakaraang Linggo, ika-25 ng Hunyo, ipinagdiwang natin ang pagkakaiba-iba ng kulturang Pilipino sa isang kaganapan! Kasama ang Filipino community, nasaksihan namin ang pambihirang husay at talento ng mga Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng pag-awit, naranasan din ang kanilang mga authentic Filipino dishes, at naranasan kung gaano kasaya ang mga larong tinangkilik ng Filipino community at sobrang saya.
Araw ng mga Ama 2023
Ang Araw ng mga Ama ay isang espesyal na araw na inilaan upang parangalan ang mga masisipag at walang pag-iimbot na mga ama na nandiyan para sa kanilang mga pamilya sa hirap at hirap.
Ngayong taon, ang Migrant Worker Community Program (MWCP) sa Leamington, Ontario, ay nag-organisa ng isang hindi malilimutang pagdiriwang ng Father's Day para sa mga migranteng manggagawa na naninirahan at nagtatrabaho sa lugar.
